The Apprentice School Foundation Announces 2019 Scholarship Winner

The first of four $500 Scholarship awards was made to Ross D. Whitlock of Hampton, Virginia.  Ross started his apprenticeship on February 4, 2019 as an electrician.  The Foundation plans to award three additional $500 scholarships during 2019 for apprentices admitted to The Apprentice School of Newport News Shipbuilding. Ross received a $500 check during a ceremony held in the school’s Cultural Center on March 20, 2019. The Apprentice School Foundation wishes Ross the very best in his apprenticeship experience as well as a long and prosperous career with Newport News Shipbuilding. Congratulations to Ross D. Whitlock
