Scholarships

The Apprentice School Foundation awards four $500 scholarships annually partnering with The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia (PCFV).  A link to the application is provided below.

SELECTION PROCESS

An individual can only apply if he/she has applied to The Apprentice School of Newport News Shipbuilding, has been made an offer and has a start date for an apprenticeship.  The Foundation's Education & Scholarship Committee will review each application and scholarships will be awarded using a rubric focusing on the criteria below.  Scholarship money can be used for technology (computer, notebook, tablet, etc.), school supplies, relocation expenses as well as room & board.

It is the Education and Scholarship Committee's intent to use the following process and criteria to determine scholarship awards.
