The Apprentice School Foundation awards four $500 scholarships annually partnering with The Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia (PCFV).  A link to the application is provided below.  The link will take you to the PCFV scholarship page where “The Apprentice School Foundation Scholarship” is listed. Click on “The Apprentice School Foundation Scholarship” to create an account and begin the application process. The application process should take about 20 minutes.









An individual can only apply if he/she has applied to The Apprentice School of Newport News Shipbuilding, has been made an offer and has a start date for an apprenticeship.  The Foundation's Education & Scholarship Committee will review each application and scholarships will be awarded using a rubric focusing on the criteria below.  Scholarship money can be used for technology (computer, notebook, tablet, etc.), school supplies, relocation expenses as well as room & board.

It is the Education and Scholarship Committee's intent to use the following process and criteria to determine scholarship awards.
